Dad’s love of airplanes started when he was young and never ended. He loved attending air shows to shoot the planes in flight. This Ford Trimotor, nicknamed “Tin Goose” was part of an annual show in Bolingbrook, IL.

It’s no small feat to catch the Air Force Thunderbirds in action. Dad took this amazing image at a Chicago Cubs game while they were doing practice runs over Wrigley Field for the annual Air & Water Show.
We spent many Saturdays growing up at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL. We rode this steam train several times during our visits.
Dad always had a camera with him. He caught this sunset in Downers Grove, not far from his house.
Dad combined his love of photography and trains on a trip out west. He rode the Durango and Silverton train through southwestern Colorado.
Dad LOVED steam trains. He was thrilled to be able to ride the original Durango-Silverton line that was founded in 1881.
